A few weeks ago when we launched the new schedule for the spring. On the Jiu Jitsu side we added a new GB2 class. We hope you all have been enjoying this advanced jiu jitsu class. It will remain free to enjoy until May 1st. After May 1st there will be an upgrade fee of 12.49$ bi-weekly to continue on in the GB2 program.

With Spring comes the competition season. Not too long ago one of our gym’s leaders, Coach Rob Currie, competed in the Pan Am IBJJF Championships and won GOLD! We are very proud of Rob’s accomplishment. Congratulations Rob!  To further our commitment to our athletes we are in the process of creating a Children’s Competition Team with classes just for the team. To join the Comp Team it will require an upgrade fee of 12.49$ bi-weekly however we will continue to fundraise to help keep the costs of competing as low as possible. Our fundraising efforts are being led by Joe and Ashley Richer. They spearheaded our Purdy’s Easter Chocolate fundraiser that raised 300$ for the kids. I am sure they have many more great ideas to come. Thank you both.

See you on the mats,

The GBOE team
